DESCRIPTION:Have you ever played a musical instrument? Do you want to be a part of our community and have fun\, too? …then The South Florida Pride Bands and sub-organizations is where you need to be! If you haven’t played your instrument in a while or you are an intermediate level player\, we perform music to make you feel at home. If you are an advanced musician\, we perform music to challenge you. \nThe South Florida Pride Bands is open to the gay\, lesbian\, bi-sexual\, transgendered and straight-friendly community of all musical levels. With an exciting concert season ahead\, we want you to come play a part! Don’t have an instrument? Don’t worry!! We may have one for you to use! \nCan’t or don’t want to play an instrument\, but want to help? There are many other ways to support the band\, including: Color Guard\, for marching events and parades; Setup/Breakdown crew for concert and other events; Donating \nWe rehearse on Wednesdays at 7:00 PM in Oakland Park. \nIf you have any questions\, please contact us at 954-667-9228 or info@southfloridapridebands.org

DESCRIPTION:Sunshine Cathedral Center for the Performing Arts and The Our Fund Foundation are proud to partner with Matthew Darren and D-Rock Productions in \nA Night at the Theater – Musical favorites from Stage and Screen. \nThis event is a community fundraiser for the Sunshine Pride House. \nThe Sunshine Pride House provides safe\, affirming housing and supportive services for LGBTQ+ young people experiencing housing instability. The program focuses on stability\, independence\, and long-term success through individualized support\, life skills development\, and community connection. \nThe Sunshine Cathedral Foundation owns and manages the Sunshine Pride House\, while wrap around services for residents are provided by Sunshine Social Services (SunServe). \nWe are deeply thankful to Michael Kalb (of blessed memory) and Dion Westerman and Terry Merlin for their extraordinary generosity related to the Sunshine Pride House. \nWe are also grateful to Floatarama which has donated funds to the Sunshine Pride House for the last two years via the LGBTQ Youth Fund at The Our Fund Foundation. \nWe also appreciate every individual donation—thank you.
