Mark Reyes

Aiming to be the next Rafael Nadal, this left-hander loves to play tennis! Mark Reyes is the Senior Director of Community Relations and Administration at the Urban League of Broward County.

Although born in Homestead, Mark calls Tampa home. After obtaining his undergraduate degree in American Studies from Yale University, he moved to New York to begin his career in non profit management and leadership. After eight years in the non profit sector, Mark went back to Yale University to get an MBA with a focus on Non profit Management. Over the course of his almost 20-year career, he has assumed frontline and leadership roles with an emphasis on development, administration and program management with the goal of having a well-rounded portfolio of experience.

While tennis dominates Mark’s free time now, dance is also one of Mark’s loves. As an undergrad, Mark was a dancer in Yale’s Hip Hop and Contemporary Dance Group, Rhythmic Blue. Mark continued to dance in NYC as a backup dancer, member of the group AIF with Avon Chandler and member of Richard Rivera’s Physual Dance Company from 2003-2004. In grad school, Mark trained in capoeira, a Brazilian art form that incorporates dance, martial arts, and music.
