Noel Mitchell Named Philanthropy and Planned Giving Officer at The Our Fund Foundation

Noel Mitchell

The Our Fund Foundation, the third largest LGBTQ+ foundation in the nation, has welcomed Noel Mitchell as its new Philanthropy and Planned Giving Officer. Mitchell will manage and cultivate the foundation’s Legacy Society, developing relationships with current and prospective legacy donors and helping philanthropists create lasting support for South Florida’s LGBTQ+ community.

Mitchell brings extensive experience in donor intent, fund stewardship and grant administration to the position. Most recently, he served as a Grants Administration Manager for the Community Foundation of Broward.

“Legacy giving provides an opportunity for donors to create a lasting expression of their values and ensure the causes they care about continue to receive support well into the future,” said David Jobin, president & CEO of The Our Fund Foundation. “Noel understands the importance of donor intent and thoughtful stewardship, and his experience will be invaluable as we continue to grow our Legacy Society and help more philanthropists create a lasting impact for the LGBTQ+ community.”

In his new role, Mitchell will work with donors and fundholders to understand their philanthropic goals and provide thoughtful stewardship of their giving. He also will participate in donor, fundholder and Legacy Society meetings and prepare grant histories and impact reports that demonstrate the community impact of their philanthropy.

“I’m excited to join Our Fund and grateful for the opportunity to contribute to an organization with such a meaningful impact in our community. I look forward to building relationships with donors and helping ensure their generosity and values continue to make a difference for generations to come,” said Noel Mitchell, Philanthropy and Planned Giving Officer at The Our Fund Foundation.

Creating a Legacy That Reflects Your Values

Legacy giving, also known as planned giving, allows individuals to designate a portion of their assets or estate to a charitable organization as part of their estate planning. It provides an opportunity to support the causes they care about while creating a lasting philanthropic legacy.

In 2025, The Our Fund Foundation granted nearly $3.9 million to LGBTQ+-supportive agencies in Broward and Miami-Dade counties, the most it has granted in a single year. With an asset base of approximately $25 million and more than $250 million represented in its Legacy Society pipeline, the foundation is positioned to significantly expand its long-term philanthropic impact.

Through the Legacy Society, donors can help ensure that LGBTQ+ organizations and initiatives in South Florida continue to receive vital philanthropic support for generations to come.
