Cause Focused Grantmaking

With the completion of The Our Fund Foundation’s 5-year Community Needs Assessment in 2021, targeted areas of concern for South Florida’s LGBTQ community were identified that The Foundation deems to be critical priorities. Nearly 50% of The Foundation’s grants from its endowed funds are directed at the following community concerns.

Community members who wish to support one or all of these initiatives should reach out to David Jobin at DJobin@TheOurFund.org

GRANTMAKING THAT MATTERS.

Health & Wellness

The Our Fund Foundation’s grantmaking addresses the unique health related risks and disparities LGBTQ individuals experience, including physical, emotional, social, and behavioral aspects of health as well as the social isolation of LGBTQ elders. Included as priorities for The Foundation HIV/AIDS, addiction and mental health, and healthcare access, affordability, and responsiveness.

Social Justice

The Our Fund Foundation Social Justice Fund envisions a world in which all LGBTQ people live with dignity, safety, and opportunity. Preference for grants from The Foundation is given to the agencies, programs and services that increase LGBTQ inclusion and acceptance and expand LGBTQ-affirming protection.

Arts & Culture

The Our Fund Foundation recognizes the importance of arts and culture to inspire, empower and transform individuals and communities. Grants from this fund promote South Florida artistic expression that amplifies LGBTQ voices and works in the service of preserving, telling, and celebrating LGBTQ stories and to promoting LGBTQ equality and social justice.
