Colgate Darden has devoted much of his life to advancing the LGBTQ+ community and fostering impactful philanthropic efforts. As an architect specializing in renovations, Colgate brings a creative and strategic mindset to his community involvement. He has served on the Board of Directors for the National LGBTQ Task Force, holding the role of Treasurer for both the Task Force and its Action Fund, where he advocated for thoughtful resource allocation within the community.
Colgate’s leadership spans decades, including critical roles with organizations such as the Urban Environment League Miami, Venetian Islands Homeowners Association, and Pridelines, where he collaborated as a partner for 10 years. A champion of the arts, he has supported Outshine Film Festival as a Producer Circle member and Studio Head since 2000, enriching the cultural fabric of South Florida.
Additionally, Colgate has been instrumental in fostering philanthropy through his donor-advised funds with Our Fund Foundation, the Miami Foundation, and the Western North Carolina Community Foundation. His dedication to uniting talents and resources for maximum community impact underscores his passion for strategic collaboration.
