
Jonathan Barker is a telecommunications entrepreneur who is originally from Lexington, Kentucky. In 1997, while attending the University of Kentucky, Jonathan founded an Internet Service Provider called QX.net to provide cutting-edge telecommunication solutions and services throughout central Kentucky. During his tenure at QX.net, Jonathan and his husband Andrew were very active in the local non-profit community, supporting various LGBT charities through fundraising and advocating for fairness and equal protection.
Jonathan also joined the board of the Blue Grass Community Foundation (BGCF), which he happily served for nine years. At BGCF, Jonathan served on the finance and investment committees, and held the vice-chair position before he relocated to Florida.
Now, living in Wilton Manors, for the past 5 years, Jonathan has joined The Our Fund Foundation board in hopes of giving back to his new community.
