With nearly two decades of experience in marketing, public relations, and community engagement, Joseph A. Quiñones is a dedicated professional with a passion for culture and the vital role that museums play in our society.
In his role as Senior Vice President of External Affairs at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science, Quiñones plays a pivotal role in shaping the museum’s identity and mission. He is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive marketing and public relations strategies that cover all aspects of the museum’s programs, events, and initiatives. He provides strategic direction in various areas, including public programming, government relations, marketing, design, and external communications, as well as management of the museum’s membership program and the operation of the Science Store.
His academic background includes a Master of Science in global strategic communications and a Bachelor of Science in communications, both earned at Florida International University. Quiñones is a member of both the Global Trends Committee and the Conference Program Planning Committee (CPPC) for the Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC). He also serves on the Arts, Culture & Entertainment (ACE) Committee at the Miami Downtown Development Authority (DDA), and the Marketing Committee of the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau (GMCVB). Beyond his professional endeavors, he resides in North Miami with his husband, Gino R. Campodónico, and their rescue cat, Binx.
