Larry Hyer has steadfastly supported the LGBTQ+ community and the arts in South Florida. A Miami Beach resident for 20 years, Larry has actively supported local cultural and community initiatives. His involvement includes serving on the OutShine Film Festival and Florida Stage boards.
Through his philanthropy, Larry has invested in empowering local LGBTQ+ organizations. He recognizes the critical need to bolster these groups amid evolving challenges from hostile administrations at the state and national levels. Larry brings a thoughtful perspective and a collaborative spirit to his work, making him an impactful advocate for strategic philanthropy.
His dedication was recognized when he received the Dick Schwarz Award for Lifetime Achievement at Our Fund’s 2024 LGBTQ+ Philanthropy Awards.
