Naomi Cobb

Naomi Ruth Cobb was born in Miami, Florida and is of Bahamian heritage. She is the owner of Learning Ingenuity Consulting, a firm that specializes in Cultural Competency, Health Disparities and Cultural Communication Trainings. Dr. Cobb is a Cultural Anthropologist and has been chosen as one of 25 outstanding women in Broward County. Some of her other past accomplishments includes being voted Woman of the Year by the Dade Human Rights Foundation, Volunteer of the Year with Gilda’s Club of South Florida, and a leader in social and political activism in the community.

She was co-founder of a nonprofit named Creating Positive Change Foundation, which focused its work in the areas of Peace Studies, Health Disparities, and non-profit management training. She served as its CEO for more than 20 years.

She has provided training throughout the country in the areas of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Communications Matters and Learning Strategies for Adult Learners. Her training and speaking engagements have been provided to corporations ranging from Health Care Organizations, Construction, governmental and to national and local nonprofit community organizations.

She serves on and has served on several boards and committees that focus on women, children and health issues affecting people of color.

She states that her most important accomplishment was that of being a mom to two amazingly bright and beautiful daughters. She also enjoys fishing, cooking, gardening and has now retired and enjoys lecturing, traveling, cooking, and hanging out with her friends.
