The Our Fund Foundation Welcomes Dr. Jason Ceavers and Christopher Bates to the Board of Directors

WILTON MANORS (May 29, 2025) — The Our Fund Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Christopher H. Bates and Jason Ceavers, M.D. to its board of directors. Both bring decades of experience and a deep commitment to advancing the health and well-being of South Florida’s LGBTQ community.

Christopher H. Bates has devoted more than four decades to public service, with a distinguished career spanning local, state, and federal government, as well as the nonprofit sector. A respected leader in HIV/AIDS policy, he served as Executive Director of the White Title II Washington, D.C., Care Resources and Services Consortium in the early 1990s, and later held multiple roles at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, including 11 years as Director of the Office of HIV/AIDS Policy. Following his federal service, he led the Men’s Health and Wellness program at the Florida Department of Health in Broward County. Bates has also served on the boards of the Pride Center at Equality Park and Health Point. A native of Philadelphia raised in Miami, he holds a B.G.S. from the University of Michigan and an M.P.A. from Southeastern University.

Dr. Jason Ceavers is a board-certified internist with Holy Cross Medical Group in Wilton Manors, where he specializes in inclusive, patient-centered primary care for LGBTQ+ individuals. Widely recognized for his compassionate approach and dedication to health equity, Dr. Ceavers is an active volunteer in Broward and Miami-Dade counties. He serves on the board of his hometown parish, St. Andrew Greek Orthodox Church, where he also chairs its annual Greek Festival fundraiser. Outside of work, he enjoys attending musicals and spending quality time with family and friends.
